When we do a job for you

- Details necessary for the work itself (existing plumbing, supply type, photos of relevant areas if we take them)
- Billing details for invoicing
- Any quote, scope or job history we generate during the job
When you browse this website
- Anonymous page-view data through Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies, no personal identifiers)
- Your browser sends standard request information like IP address and user agent to Cloudflare for hosting and security purposes
03Why we collect it
We collect personal information for a small number of straightforward reasons:
- To respond to your quote request or message
- To quote, schedule and carry out the work you've engaged us to do
- To send you invoices and receipts
- To stay in touch about your specific job (warranty, follow-up, after-job questions)
- To meet our legal record-keeping obligations as a licensed plumbing business
We don't use your information for marketing. We don't send newsletters. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
04Third parties we use
To run a small business we use a few third-party services. Each one has its own privacy practices. These are the ones that touch your data:
Cloudflare
Hosts this website and provides security and analytics. Cloudflare may see request data (IP address, browser type) as part of serving the site. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
SMTP2GO
Delivers form submissions from this website to our inbox. The contents of your form submission pass through SMTP2GO's email infrastructure. SMTP2GO's privacy policy.
Microsoft 365 (Outlook)
Stores our business email at info@njzplumbing.com.au, including the form submissions you send us and any replies. Microsoft's privacy statement.
Hipages
Some of our customers find us through hipages. If you contact us via hipages, your details come to us via their platform, which has its own privacy policy. Hipages privacy policy.
We choose providers carefully, and we don't share your information with anyone outside this list except where required by law (for example, in response to a court order).
05Cookies & tracking
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is a privacy-respecting alternative to Google Analytics. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint your browser, and doesn't track you across sites. It tells us page views and which pages are popular, nothing else.
Because we don't use tracking cookies, we don't show a cookie consent banner. Your browser may store one or two functional cookies if Cloudflare needs them for security purposes, but no advertising or analytics cookies are set.
06Storage & security
Form submissions arrive into our Microsoft 365 inbox at info@njzplumbing.com.au, which is protected by Microsoft's standard account security including multi-factor authentication. Quote, invoice and job records are stored either in that inbox or in our accounting software.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't keep anything we don't need, and we don't hand things out.
We keep records as long as required for legal or tax purposes (typically seven years for invoicing records under Australian law), then we delete them.
07Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your information, subject to any legal obligation we have to keep records (e.g. tax records)
- Stop processing your information for any optional purpose
Just email info@njzplumbing.com.au with what you'd like and we'll handle it within a reasonable time (usually a few business days).
If you're not happy with how we've handled a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
08Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults engaging plumbing services. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please get in touch and we'll remove it.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change a third-party provider or if the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top of the page tells you when it was last revised. Any significant change to how we handle your data will be highlighted clearly.
