Honest diagnosis
If a tap can be reseated, we don't sell you a new tap. The point is the right call, not the bigger invoice.
NJZ Plumbing started in 2023, but Craig's been on the tools for over twenty years. Larissa runs the books. It's a family business built on doing things properly, and one we're steadily growing.
Craig got his plumbing ticket in the early 2000s and has spent the years since on jobs of every kind, from emergency callouts at 2am to full bathroom renovations to commercial fit-outs. NJZ Plumbing is the business he started in 2023 with Larissa, built around doing things properly and looking after local families.
The pitch is straightforward: honest advice, quality workmanship, and a business that takes responsibility for the job. No call centres and no salespeople. Craig handles the quoting and scheduling, and the work is carried out by trusted, licensed tradespeople, held to the same standard whoever's on site. As we grow, that's the part that won't change.
Larissa keeps the engine room running - replying to emails, scheduling work, sending quotes and invoices, and being the first voice on the phone. The family side of the business isn't a marketing line: NJZ is about doing good work, looking after local households, and being part of the Macedon Ranges community, with room to grow. The growing focus is whole-home water filtration, because the demand is there and the gear is genuinely good.
Easy to say on a website. Harder to do every job, every day, for twenty years. Here's what we actually try to be measured by.
If a tap can be reseated, we don't sell you a new tap. The point is the right call, not the bigger invoice.
Written quotes in plain English. No mystery line items, no "while we're here" upsells. The price you're quoted is what you pay.
The standard is "would I do this in my own house". The copper work behind the wall matters as much as the tap above it.
You call, you get a local person who knows the job, not a queue. If something goes wrong, you call us - not a corporate complaints line.
When we bring extra hands on, it's a tradesperson we know and trust, held to the same standard as our own work.
Twenty-plus years on the tools across residential, commercial and emergency work. These days Craig does more of the quoting and organising as the business grows, but he's still hands-on and particular about his copper work, and good for a joke on the way out. Licensed in plumbing and gas.
Runs the books, the quotes, the invoices, the email and the phone when Craig is under a sink. Most likely the person you'll hear back from when you send through a quote request, and probably the reason your job actually gets confirmed when it's supposed to be.
We're local. We want to do honest work, look after our neighbours, and be a business the Macedon Ranges can count on.
Pick up the phone and we'll talk it through. For everything else, the form takes thirty seconds and you'll hear back within a few hours during business hours.
